Simple Pink and White Nail Design

Hey Girls,

So I know that I promised that I would do a tutorial that is step by step pictures, but you know, I'll try harder next time :P Anyways, this is a real simple yet elegant nail design that is can be changed to your liking. Any color of your choice and white, and if you like you can choose two different colors. Perhaps, purple and yellow because they are complimentary color (AHAH, art is useful!). Anyways I chose white and pink and here is the finished result, so lets get started!

Step 1:

Apply a base coat, I used Elizabeth Grant, which acts as a base and top coat. Let is dry so that it is dry to the touch. This will take at least 1 min 30s

Step 2:

Take your brighter color, in my case it is "San Marco Raspberry C" by Elizabeth Arden, a pretty pink color. Apply it to your WHOLE NAIL if you are more advanced, you can just apply it to the bottom half of your nail :). Let that dry until it is dry to the touch. Since this is over a base, it is gonna take longer. So give it at least 2-3 mins to dry.

Step 3:

Take you other color choice and apply this to the top part of your nail, paint it half way through your nail. If you want a very straight edge, I suggest you use tape. However, I think that free hand might be better because the polish could bleed through the tape, and that would create one hot mess! The color I used is "Bianco White Tip" by Borghese. Give this around 2-4 mins to dry.

Step 4:

Take a dotter tool or a toothpick, I use a knitting needle to create the dots. If you are creating dots on the bottom half of your nail, use the OPPOSITE color and create three dots going in a straight line going upwards. No need to let it dry this time, go to next step.

Step 5:

Do the same on the other half of the nail being careful to not touch the other dots.
Let this dry! 2-3 Mins

Step 6:

LAST STEP! WOOT :) Put a top coat to protect it :) And you are done:) I like smiley faces, can you tell lol :)

K, Girls you made it through 6 steps! I know, I know, but you got to admit that was simple as heck! I hope you enjoy this design and tell your friends. Remember, your tips are welcome :)

Simple Rainbow Dots Nail Design

Hey Girls,

I have a nail tutorial for you girls today, although a video would be much more helpful, I am just gonna type it out in easy steps. Next time I'll do a step by step picture type of thing. Anyways, it is a kinda of polka dot-ish design, VERY SIMPLE. I am by no means an expert so easy designs are my best friend, and if they look good, why not right? So take a look at the finished product and we will get started :D

Step 1:

Choose a base coat and apply only one coat. I used Elizabeth Grant. This polish acts as a top and base coat. Let it dry so that it is smooth to the touch.

Step 2:

Apply a white polish. Making sure that there are no streaks. Why for it to dry so that it is smooth to the touch. I used Borghese in the color "White Tip"

Step 3:

Take a dotter tool, or a touch pick. I personally use a knitting needle. Take ANY colors of your choice (More preferably the colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) and put small little dots. What you should do is get a scrap piece of paper and put some of the polish on it. Not much is needed, and dot away :)

Step 4:

Wait for it to dry and then put on a top coat to help prolong it.
wait for that to dry and you are done. You have beautiful rainbow dot nails

Ok girls, I hope this tutorial was simple and easy to follow, comments are welcome. Tell me how to improve and if you liked this look. Lol, or thought it was a piece of @#@# ;)

Happy Holidays,

Uggs vs. Ugg Knockoffs

Bear Paws UGGS

Hey Internet,

This is my very first blog post :) Thoroughly EXCITED! So let's get started! My current obsession is Australia's World-Wide Know UGGS! They are boots which are made out of sheep skin and sheep fur. Yes, I know, it is real fur, not fake :( But that makes them a whole lot warmer. But the real reason why I am writing about this is to talk a little bit about the knock offs. I did a week long test last year. I wore the Uggs for 4 days and a knock-off brand called "Bearpaws" for the remaining 3. And I have to say that I couldn't tell the difference between them, warmth and they way they look , except the label on the back that says the brand name. Although the craze is for UGGS, I am really liking my "BearPaws" a lot because of their price. However, if you got a little extra money to spend, go ahead and get the UGGS that you want. Enjoy the rest of your holiday!
